RECOVERY FROM SURGERY

Seems the surgery recovery is a little bit longer than the doctor led me to believe when I first saw him....

2 WEEKS WHITHOUT RUNNING OR SWIMMNG!!!!!!!!!

My mind will go crazy but the foot will appreciate it. My hiking trip next week is not compromised as long as we keep a walking pace and don't push it. I will also be able to start biking after Easter.

I'm having my sutures removed on Wednesday, right now it's not painful but I'm pretty uncomfortable. This is no mystery plastic surgery, I had 2 moles removed from my back and will know in about a month if they are benign. It was strongly suggested I have them removed since skin cancer runs in my family but the dermatologist do not think they are malign. So, I'm positive about this.

Hiking trip is in 4 DAYS!!!!!!!

rest rest rest = heal heal heal!

thinking good thoughts about the moles. I had a mole on my arm that changed color/ shape and I had it removed "just in case" but it turned out to be benign. Hiking trip soon! fun !

I hope those moles are fine. Rest and heal well! Sending positive healing thoughts your way, I feel ashamed to be whining about a cold!

Best of luck on the recovery.

I know it can be frustrating as anything not being able to run/bike... Just remember it is better to take a short break now, than be forced to stop for the rest of your life.

As they say.. an early detection is the best prevention! I love your positive attitude. I am very optimistic that you will do GREAT. Think of your post-surgery recovery as your tapering.

Hiking is all about enjoying the scenery, so you don't want to be going any faster than a walking pace.

Sending postive thoughts your way, for results that are fine!

That kind of sucks, but the hiking trip should help you forget all about it. Just remember to go easy and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Hiya! I think we're on the same running forum as well, I got linked to your page from there as well I think.
I've been living at the university the past year, but it's move-out day tomorrow! I'll be in sandwich next year.
I've decided not to do the HM in sept. (I'd picked the Toronto Scotiabank one) I'm travelling a lot this summer and don't think I can get my training on track.

I hope your hiking trip goes well! :)
