SO MUCH TO WRITE ABOUT SO LITTLE TIME TO DO IT!

I'm beat, the new job+commute is kicking my ass!! No time/motivation for anything computer related once I come back home on week nights and week-ends concist of trying to prepare all the meals, laundry etc. for the week to come.

The new job is great so far. I'm enjoying the projects I've been assigned to. Since there is no lab work involved I do not feel like a 'real' chemist right now but I think it's more an adaptation period to go through. I'm looking forward to my first pay cheque this week!! My first big purchase will be a new saddle for my bike. I want to get an ISM Adamo Women's saddle as recommended by my friend Jordan.

Training is going really well. I hit all my training last week. This week was harder, missed both strenght workouts (insert shameful expression) and the swim. I have a really hard time getting to the pool ay 9PM. I get up pretty early to avoid traffic and 9PM is almost my bed time. Not sure I'll do lots of swimming in the next few weeks.

Running is going well, my LSD is up to 6.25 miles (the Race is 15K or 9.4miles), train ticket is bought so I am going! PF is not back but I've been suffering from achilles tendonitis... which is NOT cool. Sometimes, I just feel like I should give up and get back to my old 'Couch potato' self... but gotta keep on trucking... right?

At least, there is my bike trainer which I still love, it's a blessing to be able to do intense workouts since running is not more than 2 times a week for me...

That's most news from me. I'm going to try and read all (gulp 156) messages you guys have written while I was sleeping LOL

BTW Happy Single Awareness Day! (aka Valentine's Day)

Glad to hear things are going well, although it must be an adjustment to the crazy schedule and trying to squeeze it all in. Sounds like you are doing great!

Happy Weekend!

Cool saddle! Once you get a schedule down I'm sure it will be easier to fit stuff in. Glad to hear you are enjoying the trainer!

Commutes suck! When I lived in Calgary I rollerbladded to work - make the commute much longer, but it did not suck! Too bad you could not run or ride or both...when the weather gets better of course!

Welcome to the land of the people muncher (aka work)!!

Glad your job is going well.

I don't blame you for not swimming at 9pm! I'm in bed at that time most nights.

Maybe there's a way to do some strength stuff at home if you aren't having time to get to the gym. (Or maybe you already do strength stuff at home, in which case forget that). I took some stretchy bands to the office for days when I miss my strength stuff. That;s an option too.

A busy lady you are! Maybe once the nicer weather comes and you settled into your routine, things will work out and you will find time to do it all. It's not easy though! You do have your priorities right! Good for you for hanging in there!

It's nice to hear that you are enjoying your work!

Workwise, I'm feeling the same way as you! I'm exhausted and can't believe until after the busy season.

Yay on the paycheck!

Never, never, never live in a suburb for me. Country living. Good weather is around the corner and the commuting will be better. It is amazing you get all the training in with your long work day. Awesome.

Good to hear you're liking the job so far. I did the same thing going from a lab/plant to a desk. I still don't quite feel like an chem engineer and it's been over 7years now.

Wow, you should be well rested! Glad to hear that you're able to train. Maybe they'll let you in the lab, so you can blow up something.

Glad to hear that the new job is good so far!! And you had better not give up your training -- I don't want to have to go to Canada and kick some butt :-). Just kidding, of course!

So glad you are enjoying the job even though the commute sucks and you're wiped out. LOL. Now that I said it like that, it doesn't sound so good. :)

Get your rest and enjoy your new job. We'll still be here when you get back :)

Keep going, never give up :)

Hey I have to swim late tonight - after my run. I hate the late nights too but it's worth it and we know it. I'm so glad your job is going well and that race day is approaching and the PF hasn't returned!
